I did it… and I always said I wouldn’t.
It was time for me to get a new cell phone… actually, April was time for me to get a new cell phone, but it was just never that high on my list of things to do. Sunday after sending my brother a text message while the phone was still plugged into the wall, I got up and walked away. And, my cell phone came with me. Well, the plug of the charger and my phone did anyways. I ripped the part that you plug into the phone clear off the cord. Obviously, it was past its use.
So, I went on Monday and got a new phone. I always said that I would never get a Blackberry because I didn’t want to be that accessible. I want to be able to leave work at work and be able to enjoy home while I am at home. So what did I do? I got the Blackberry Pearl. In all honesty, I saw it and liked it before I realized that it was a Blackberry. When I realized it, I walked around the store and looked at the other phones, and found another one I liked… so I asked the sales person about it and they honestly told me that they have had a lot of problems with it and that she wouldn’t suggest that I get that phone. I didn’t see anything else I liked. So, I got the Blackberry Pearl… and thought, well, I don’t have to link up my e-mail and cell phone. But, since it’s a company cell phone, they set it up at the store and I went on my way.
It goes off nonstop. It never quits. I like the phone given the fact that I still have no clue how to use it. I have figured out that when I get home I can turn on the “Phone Only” thing. It only alerts me when there is a phone call; which makes it better. However, if I notice that there is an e-mail I have to look at it… I am trying to not succumb to the taunting e-mail. I figure if I make it a practice that I only check e-mails while at work then all is good in life with a Blackberry.
I completely get why people call them crackberries… They are.
well, hi there.
